Another Stretch Goal Unlocked!

Overnight we unlocked another stretch goal, which means everyone with pledges of $5 and up will be getting the additional bookmarks (either digitally or physically, depending on your pledge track)! 

We are now less than $900 away from the  audiobook of Royal by Blood unlocking! With 12 hours left in the campaign, can we reach this goal?

We Unlocked Tales from the Wand... and an Audiobook Update

Woohoo! I'm so excited about unlocking the Tales from the Wand (the short story collection). Everyone who backed this campaign will be getting the collection of short stories as an e-book! 

Audiobook Update

I am also super excited to share that I've just signed the contract for the audiobook narrator. This means that it's going to be produced regardless of whether we hit the stretch goal or not...but I would LOVE to offer you all the first chance to listen to Royal by Blood. If we unlock this goal, everyone who backs at $30 or more will receive the audiobook version in addition to everything else! 

We're approaching the last day of the campaign so be sure to share the campaign and let people know.

We have just 50 hours left in the campaign! As we move toward the final 2 days, be sure to share the campaign with other readers. Word of mouth is the best advertising out there (plus you can get a free e-book + postcard for referring others to the books). 

Exciting News

I started the audition process for an audiobook narrator when I launched the campaign and I am super stoked to announce that I’ve just initiated the process to book the narrator. I would LOVE to include this audiobook as part of the Kickstarter and with your help, I think we can get there. Spread the word and let’s make this happen!

Stretch Goals

We are all of $21 away from unlocking the collection of short stories! I am pumped about this and know we can hit this goal. I’m currently writing them and several of you will be included as characters in them! 

I’ve also just added another stretch goal to the campaign because, well, I just really like including extra goodies for all of you and setting smaller goals also helps keep me motivated. So… without further ado, if we hit $5,000, this will unlock 4 additional bookmarks that will be included at every pledge level of $5.00 and up. This means if you have a physical reward you’ll receive 4 additional bookmarks and if you have a digital reward, you’ll receive the art formatted for a 2X6 bookmark that you can print at home. Or just have as something pretty to look at. :) Here’s a preview of one side of the bookmarks.

Wowzer! We are officially 3 days away from the campaign ending and I am blown away by the support you all have shown the books. Thank you for being part of this journey with me!

Stretch Goals

We are $103 away from the next stretch goal: an entire collection of short stories featuring the Fairy Godmothers. If we hit this goal, everyone who backs at $5.00 or more will get this collection in e-book format.

I’m currently working on adding another stretch goal in between the $4,500 one (the collection of short stories) and the $6,000 one (the first audiobook) and should *hopefully* be able to announce tomorrow!

Referral Perk

As we push into the homestretch, I would love to offer you all an additional perk for referring folx to this campaign. Sprint Writing

Y’all. Let me tell you. Using the Pomodoro Technique is one of my all time favorite ways of increasing productivity and getting things done. I use it for a lot of different things, not just writing and swear by this technique. 

What is the Pomodoro Technique? In essence, it’s about breaking up a given hour into smaller chunks of time, typically 4 segments. 20-25 minutes of focused work followed by 5-10 minutes of a break. You do this sequence twice in an hour and the total recommended time is 2 hours (4 sprints). 

This technique is how I wrote all 6 of the books in the Lost Queen Chronicles. It’s how I get a lot of the projects done in my day job. It’s what I’ve taught hundreds of other people how to do throughout my time working as an educator and coach.
